BiographyRobert Tralins is a prolific author/He penned ''Pleasure Was My Business'', Miami’s infamous Madam Sherry’s tell-all memoirs that was put on trial ''in rem'' and banned in the State of Florida. The ban was reversed in a landmark decision by the U.S. Supreme Court. (See TRALINS v. GERSTEIN, 378 U.S. 576 (1964). In an internationally publicized lawsuit filed by ex-King Farouk of Egypt claiming he was never in Miami, Tralins produced documentary evidence proving that he was, and won a $750,000 libel lawsuit and judgment. With numerous books in many genres published during his career under his own name and a dozen pseudonyms, he is considered a cult figure among book collectors. He is best known for his historical novels, suspense thrillers, paranormal story collection and psychological studies. Robert Tralins established his bona fides as a women's rights activist with the publication of his ''Miss From S.I.S.'' spy series the year Betty Friedan founded NOW. His stories and articles have appeared in many national publications . An historical novel trilogy about the Arab-Israeli conflict which he has researched for the past twenty years is currently in progress. He has just completed a memoir with stories about his involvement with the Cuban anti-Castro movement and his investigation of the Bermuda Triangle aboard his own sailboats. |
